Here are answers about the conference and planning your weekend in Orlando.
FAQs
What is FREEFLO?
1
FREEFLO is the Florida Freethought Conference, held every other year in Orlando. Organized by the Central Florida Freethought Community (CFFC), it brings nonreligious people together for science, thoughtful conversations, comedy, and community. FREEFLO also helps support student scholarships.
Who is FREEFLO for?
2
FREEFLO brings together atheists, agnostics, humanists, skeptics, and other nonreligious people who enjoy learning, asking questions, and connecting with others. Whether you live in Central Florida or are traveling to Orlando, FREEFLO offers a chance to spend a weekend with people who share an interest in science, reason, curiosity, and secular community.
When and where is FREEFLO 2027?
3
FREEFLO 2027 takes place February 26–28, 2027, at the Hilton Orlando/Altamonte Springs in the greater Orlando area. The hotel address is 350 Northlake Boulevard, Altamonte Springs, Florida 32701. View conference and hotel details
Can I attend FREEFLO alone and meet other nonreligious people?
4
Yes. FREEFLO is designed to help nonreligious people connect, and you can attend on your own. The Friday night party is a relaxed way to meet other attendees and speakers. Longer coffee breaks give you time to chat between sessions, and Sunday morning’s Stitch n Bitch offers another social opportunity to get to know people.
Our service project offers opportunities throughout the conference to meet people while working together to assemble food packs for Central Florida children. Volunteer opportunities will be announced soon and provide another way to get involved. Choose a ticket and any add-ons that include the activities you want to attend.
What happens during the conference?
5
The weekend includes speakers exploring science, humanism, secularism, critical thinking, and issues shaping our world. FREEFLO 2027 also features a Friday night Heroes & Villains costume party, Saturday dinner with comedy by Adam Broud, Saturday night trivia hosted by Fish Stark, and a service project assembling food packs for Central Florida children with supplies from Second Harvest Food Bank.
